I have to disagree !!! That statement was said back in 1972 with the oil shortages. Back then muscle cars were getting 8 MPG. It took 15 years, but the muscle car wars started up again with the Mustang and Camaro . Today, a Corvette gets 25 MPG. Times are changing, that's a fact, and our cars will change with it. Our thinking will have to change also. The days of 572's are over, and I can see in the next few years people stuffing turbo 4 cylinder power plants in their 69 Camaros like the ones powering the Solstice. Can you imagine 35 MPG, and still lots of HP from a 60's car ?? These days are coming !!! I'm looking forward to the new technology.
