I don't why it popped off, especially since it's been on there for over a month of driving since the clutch and shifter deal. Like I said, I will secure it with a screw later on.
So the lesson from this to everyone, make sure this is on VERY secure when you do your trans work and shifter swaps. You can see how close it is to the driveshaft.
