His car may have been some kind of "pilot" vehicle. Meaning it wasn't originally ordered as a TFE, since it didn't exist yet. But it could have had all of the options added as a promotional car or something. I would try to get in touch with someone from Chevy. There is the possibility that you got one of the most rare TFE cars but there is also the possibility that you got hosed by the dealer.
