Forgestars

[QUOTE=Crash76;8732532]Now on to the Forgestars with Toyo 888s 285/35/20 and 315/30/20...

There was a ridiculous amount of weights added to get them to balance

I just put my first set of replacement tires on mine yesterday. Stock sizes but Nitto 555R drag radials in the back and 555's (275's) in the front. I have had the car a few months and the Goodyears were gone at 9500. I was very interested in how much weight they would take to balance. Best was .5 Oz on the inside and 1.0 Oz the outside. Worst (rear tire) was 3 Oz on the inside and 1 on the outside. Did not spin just the wheel but I am assuming most of the balancing needed was due to the tire. Tech said the wheels (stock 10 spoke) looked OK. Rode good up to 100 mph on the drive home. My question is you said a lot of weight was needed to balance your combination - can you define a lot of weight? I am wondering if 3 0z is a lot of weight on my wheel or within the normal range. Thanks
