What that tells me is the diode just needs to be changed. It's my understanding that AAC gets those dual-intensity circuits from an outside vendor, so conceivably that vendor may have a version of the dual-intensity circuit that will work flawlessly with the factory sidemarkers. I suppose that would just take a little extra research on yours or AAC's part...
