You are quoting a response by Cheryl Pilcher (sp?) that we already know is a misquote. She never said anything was canceled. She was asked if there would be a Z/28 available at launch and she said no. We knew all along that there would never be one the first year. As for the 69, that was then, this is now. If GM builds one it will be because they think it is what they think people want now, not what it was 40 years ago.
