this is the update to this thread; a/c issues anyone have this?

they replaced compressor and issue seemed to have disappeared. couple days ago whine came back so i located exactly when it does it. mine does it in 2nd gear @ 1800 to 2000 rpm when the a/c cycles or in 3rd gear slowing down from about 3000 rpm. a/c blower can be on any speed but is easiest to hear on 1 or 2 and with or without the recirculating air on. they brought over a couple new cars to compare and to all of us the noise was not there or barely noticeable on them. they want me to put more miles on the compressor and said the think it may just be an a/c clutch shim that isnt quite right or its a projected vibration noise coming down an a/c line from the compressor and into dash similar to a sound coming down a hollow pipe. see if it gets worse and come back in a few weeks. the noise is drivin me nuts and im thinking they just dont know! there is a bulletin for a similar noise @60-80 mph but at that speed you cant hear it in my car due to muffler delete.
