Good:
K&N CAI Carbon Fiber...Lights out expensive, but cool as h3LL. Maybe 20-30 + HP
Shorty Headers, but no ??HP gains.
Cat Back...question the DB levels and dual mode exhaust. ?? HP gains.
But the sound not sure which would be the best. Friend says Borla. 1600 bucks for pipes and a couple of mufflers...

Bad:
ANY HighFlow AFtermarket CATs.
ANY Long Tube Headers
ANY Catch Cans.
ANY CAI that is not CARB Approved.

If you do any of the bad, remove them before the smog check.

Sounds like a lot of work just to pass a $70 bill.

If the HF Cats were a moduler quick click R&R that would be the ticket. But people don't sell to CA?? not sure.

I'm looking at the Good. without the catback or shorties.
I like the CatchCan though...the demos of what it does is amazing.
I guess you just add this to the oil that gets recycled at the local parts store.
You can get a highflow cat sent to CA, but some people will make you fill out paperwork that the part is for off-road use only or something.

But I see no point in ever buying high flow cats in ca, it's going to be illegal anyways so why not just straight pipe it? It's way cheaper, same or better gains, just as easy to reverse... Makes no sense to spend hundreds on a part when you can just do that.
