Totally respect the dissenting opinion. I come from drag racing where, like you mentioned, just tossing stuff at the car is fine. I started road racing with bolt ons, big cam, suspension not set up for it, etc. I learn the car at the same time I’m learning how to drive all over again. I’m comfortable with that. I’m also not trying to set any records - just trying to have fun - which is exactly what I’m doing. It’s also fun to modify one’s car, so it’s a win/win.
