Your DIC (if you have it) will tell you when your oil life is up. FYI - Chevrolet puts "special" break-in oil in all new vehicles, so I am waiting to change mine. I figure they know what they're doing with regards to keeping my engine performing to it's potential - I want to trust Chevrolet. ;-)
