I'm a little bias obviously now but CRT is really a win win.. it's not to flashy like yellow, red or orange like you said you don't want and it's not dark like black, grey or IBM ,so it won't be a pain in the ass to keep clean. It's really a perfect balance between the annoyingly dark colors to keep clean and the flashy colors you don't like and it looks amazing in the sun. I would say the other runner up would have to be silver.
With that said I have never liked white anything and orange really does look great on the ZL1.
