Just my experience - If you carefully replace the bolts and nuts with the current service replacements you might be fine. I have done a few early on with my 2010 SS and not had any repeat failures. Now at 80K miles. I am using the factory torque settings specific to where the fasteners are installed (varies depending on where the bolts are on the driveshaft assembly) using a beam type torque wrench and all new fasteners.

520 RWHP supercharged with 6 spd manual.
