Equipment needed for Outer Trailing Arm bushing removal:
5 inch puller
Ratchet 3/8 inch drive
3 inch extension 3/8 drive - helps to clear the lower control arm, otherwise your ratchet will get in the way
13mm socket
3/8 to 1/2 inch adapter
Utility knife
Make sure you cut the excess rubber of the bushing that is outside so that you can clamp your puller onto the spindle. You'll see what i mean when you get in there. The adapter will stay in place and even if it spins when you start to put pressure on the bushing, its not like a nut, which will travel up the puller as you twist the bolt. (If that makes sense) If you don't put anything on the puller bolt, it will go right through the bushing ferule and not push at all. Looks like I need to do another diy write-up perhaps...
See photos to see what the puller looks like. Its better to rent it...I haven't had a use for it since I did those bushings..
