I wouldn't be quick to write off this engine because it powers the base Corvette. Higher performance Gen V's will follow but this new LT1 is a substantial upgrade from the LS3.

With as much as 50+ lb-ft additional mid-range torque output, friends, this is
very significant...for the Vette as well as for the heavier 4-seat Camaros.
