I just ask because I have seen people make a big deal of the Jay Leno style hood because it doesn't have anything to catch the water falling into the engine bay..
But water gets in through the grille too right?

The hood has rainguards which I removed for the photo.
These rainguards will prevent water from getting into the top of the engine bay.
They are easily removed with about 5 or 6 philips head screws each.
This is the exact reason I chose VIS over Seibon. Seibon doesn't offer the rainguards. Water should not damage your engine but my car is entered into shows and I keep my engine spotless.... so the less water on it the better for show preps.
