Im installing Stainelss Power 1 7/8" LT headers w/ hi-flo cats on my 2010 SS M6. The headers are awesome and fit perfectly on mock-up. I'm very pleased with the completeness of the kit from Stainless Works.

In the kit, they supply a tube of high temp silicone rtv and the directions say to just use the supplied rtv, no gasket. I called the Stainless Works tech line and the guy said that is what they use for performance testing, but he gets these calls all the time. He said I could use factory gaskets if it makes me feel better.

Have any of you used just the rtv sealent to install your headers? How did it work? Do you wish you would have just used gaskets?

Also, where are guys putting the wideband O2 sensor bung when running cats? Guage instructions say before cat, but a couple people are telling me not o put it in the header collector. The next available spot to put it is after the cat. One guy I trust told me to put it after the cat. Any thoughts?
