Why are you wanting different rear end? Gearing? Here is the gear ratios of transmissions so you can make an apple to apple decision. There are very different gearing in V6 vs V8 transmissions. Years ago, there were a few that went with 3.91 rear end gears for the V6. On a side note, if you put 1le size tires on it essentially gives you a 3.36 ratio rear end (for a 3.27 factory ratio).
