i had an M6 LS1 before my M6 LS3 and i was very good at driving that. i'm not sure why though but with the hurst short throw i seem to grind a little in between the 1 to 2 shift on WOT. grind might be a heavy term, but it feels like i'm either shifting too fast or my feet are not in sync. i usually hear a light clicking noise that doesn't feel very smooth. i have practiced several times and can get it right maybe 30% of the time with a smooth feel and no click/grind feeling. when i say grind i mean it doesn't feel terrible on my hand like a real grind would, but the noise makes me think i'm not shifting right.

at any rate i know i just need to work on it...can't tell if i'm letting off the clutch in 2nd too fast or pushing the clutch in when in 1st too slow, but whatever it is i know it can't be good for the transmission. my car only has 3,500 miles, but i'm curious what damage am i doing when i hear this grinding noise, and how serious of damage is it causing? thanks.
