There is an old saying which is still true. "If a pro want your wheels (or your car), it's gone." (Maybe not in 60 seconds, give them about 180 seconds.)

I look at lug nuts as a strength and aesthetic thing. Anti-theft....meh..not so much. But, don't discount the other two. Last thing you need is for a lug nut to fail, or even back out. And lets face it, if you are worried about lug nuts, it's likely because you care about your car and probably have a set of non-factory wheels. THat means you care about your car's personal "look". In both cases, high quality lugs nuts are a reasonable investment.
