The GT500 is faster all around, especially from a roll. Likes to try to lift the front tires on the second gear shift. However, it is civilized power, with a very smooth engine and transmission. The SRT8 'feels' very torque-ey because it puts the power to the ground very well, and abruptly, and is just plain loud and rumbly.
