Sorry to hear about your gifts!!
GM has a bulletin out for this, your spoiler is/may be loose, that's the only way for water to get in or a destroyed weather strip may also be an issue.
Check your spoiler, if its loose remove each nuts applied Loctite and reinstall, you also dont have reef these nuts tight because your will break something.
