Occasionally having the same problem of not being able to remove the key, I've noticed that the sift linkage seems to be out of adjustment because the neutral position doesn't feel right. To me an out of adjustment shift linkage would fool the ignition lock into thinking the shifter is not all the way in park. Next oil change is coming up soon and will try adjusting the shift linkage while it's on the jacks. Will update with the results.
