I assume oil level is staying the same, right? And the cap/dipstick are installed properly? If that's the case my guess would be some oil got spilled somewhere that's warm enough to make it smell but not hot enough to burn it off. Maybe try pulling some of the plastic covers to see if there's some hiding under there anywhere? Could also check oil pan/oil cooler bolts to make sure those haven't loosened and are dripping oil on the exhaust or something.
