I noticed that while I was under the car as well, I think it may have just been some residual oil that splashed when I was changing the oil filter or when I dropped the pan. I wiped it off before starting the car for the first time and have been keeping an eye out on that spot as well as around the whole oil pan to make sure nothing is leaking and so far so good.
