I think you might want to go the coilover way. You can drop your camaro 2 inches with the coilovers and adjust it so that you can get a smooth ride for daily driving or rough ride for racing, and still have 2" drop. Can't do that with springs and drop spindles. I've lowered my vette 2.5 inches and rides better than stock.
