So I read somewhere that you can program a turbo to only provide boost at a certain RPM. Can anyone confirm this?

Also, if I wanted to have a turbo so I could have boost when I wanted it but not when I'm putt-putting to work and back, what RPM range would you experts suggest? BTW I have a v6.

Any product suggestions for this?
