As my late best friend, Donald Polk, always said, "ounces make pounds".
The problem is that you have to shed a crap load of ounces to make a difference on this pig. Also, when you're trying to make the most HP from an engine, going smaller isn't always the best idea. On body parts, you'd be fine but on engine parts, you need the strongest you can get your hands on. Unfortunately, stronger and lighter rarely go together.
