Why am I posting this ridiculously early? Because registration could possibly open between October and December. There only 500 slots available and since the event was cancelled in 2019 they will probably sell out faster than usual.

For those in the new, what is Vettes4vets? It’s a yearly event hosted by the organization of the same name to raise money for veterans. It’s open to all vehicles.

They do this by selling laps on Talladega Superspeedway. If the cost hasn’t changed, they are as follows. First session is $100, each session thereafter is $75. One session is five laps. Trust me, five laps is a lot on that track!

How fast can you go? That is classified. I will tell you this much, the organization asks you not to post or discuss it publicly.

People come from all over the country to participate in this event. I’ve been every year since 2014. It is some of the most fun you’ll ever have in your car. It’s like an amusement park for your car.

You can watch for up to date information on two Facebook pages. One official page for the grand events, like golf tournaments and conferences and the more informal page dealing with hotels and travel and pictures and basic bs and such. Just search Vettes 4 Vets.
