The 3.0L 6 cylinder is showing to be an inline 6 and not a V6 on the forcasted engine chart but it also shows a 4.3L V6 with 36 valves, both on this new engine series CSS by GM. The 3.0L 6 is thought to be the new Silverado Diesel designed with help from Europe but destined to built in the states.
