I realize this is a couple of weeks old, but I figured I would interject here...
According to the factory service manuals, the yaw sensor (located under the center console) is a multi-axis sensor that provides data to the traction control system and the ABS. This is not verbatim, but a summary. This information is listed under the ABS with F55 option (Magnetic Ride Control i.e. ZL1) and also states that the HSA is disabled when the stability control is turned off. So far no one has been able to confirm this action.
