I add a few drops of woolite dark to wam tap water. I soak a micro fiber towel in the solution, wring it out then drape the towel on the wheel for a few minutes to break up the oils and grime. I then gently wipe the area, rinse and repeat.
Once everything is clean, I do a final wipe down with just warm water. Woolite has a slight fragrance that will dissipate after a few minutes. You do not want to apply a lot of pressure when rubbing.
