I found my R this summer, but had my previous '16 350 Track Pack to the track several times. Both my Z and previous 350 have/had Pilot SS tires. I am not out to set any records and keep both cars 1 step below track setting. The one thing I noticed with the Z is that it seemed to turn in better. I attributed this to the larger 305's (as compared to the 295's on the 350). The R has 305/315 Pilot Cups, so it will be fun getting it on the track next spring. The 350's 8250 redline takes some getting used to.

I was able to find my R private party with 1800 miles, paint corrected, wrapped and quartz sealed for well under MSRP. I had been looking for 3 months. I bought my Z this winter from a Porsche dealer with 3600 miles on it for WAAAAAAAYYYYYYY less than MSRP! I don't think you will ever see R's sitting on new lots for 20% off MSRP like you could find Z's when new. There seems to be a lot more demand for the Shelbys.
