This is why the demand for these cars is so strong. I just sold my E92 Comp M3 for a Z/28 (long term M car guy that married into a Camaro family). The Z/28 shouldn't be anyone’s retirement plan but there’s no denying it’s appealing to a larger audience of hardcore enthusiasts because of how it was built.

I really never saw myself in a Camaro until the Z/28. Chevy makes plenty of “limited production” cars like the orange pace car my wife used to drive with those god awful stickers on the doors. Rarity alone doesn’t drive demand. The Z/28 has the rarity and so much more.
