Help with replacement bushing: Rear lower outer control arm Knuckle bushing
I hope someone can help. While installing BMR rear trailing arms, toe rods, cradle bushings.... We notice my rear lower outer control arm bushing that is located in the knuckle is in rough shape and needs replacing. Does GM or anyone make a replacement? We removed it easier that any of the other bushings, LOL, but no one seems to have a replacement or part#. All I seem to come up with is buying a whole knuckle just to get the bushings. Silly! Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks to the person I copied this picture from!!! |

Did you replace the bushings and if so how difficult was it? Did you need to press them in? I ask because my car (2014 Camaro) failed inspection at the mechanic due to having a little bit of play in the rear knuckle bushings (I'm assuming the control or trailing arm bushing) Thanks Shel |

The bushings are a bit of a pain to swap, but it can be done with the small 2-ton puller from O'Reily's and a lot of patience. Last edited by jackrwall; 08-12-2024 at 11:20 PM. |
