anyone know the diffrences in the LLT vs holden

i found this but 300 is a big gamble on something that i dont know will fit or not.......its saying gains of 15kw(20hp)....i really dont think there is that much to be gained but even if its half that it would just about be worth it
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....tchlink:top:en

but it doesnt seem like anyone really knows the diffrences of the 2 motors

The holden was the platform for the LLT. If i remember correctly fuel delivery was the biggest difference. There is an article on the forum, directly above this in the sticky section, that tells a lot about the motors and differences. I think our US accessories are set up a bit different as well. I wouldn't be the one to dust $300 on it to see if it will work.

I don't remember which engine versions are what anymore, vz, ve, hfv6 (high feature I think it stands for)....you'ld have to start digging around, I think wikipedia has a pretty good breakdown if it's not at the top of this page in the sticky already.

The Commodore VE SV6 didn't have the LLT until 2009. The VZ and Early VE still had the LY7. So I'd say this is for the non direct injected LY7 V6.

If your willing to wait SLP has a 25% under drive pulley. They use it on their 2011 ZL327 package, but its not available for purchase separately yet.

Hrm...nice. I'd be curious to see what the pulley can do for our Camaros. Do they make any kind of mention of power gains, or just list it as part of the package?

They don't mention the power gains from just using the pulley. Just that you get an extra 15 hp with the CAI, Axel back, and Underdrive Pulley that comes with the package.

Link to the SLP ZL327 page. Kinda pricey if you ask me for what you get.

We get 15+ HP now with CAI and Axle back. Does the pulley give an additional 15 HP?

That is my point. Until proven by someone (scrming comes to mind) it may not do a damn thing.

Reminds me of the pipes that were sold for snowmobiles, along with clutch kits, how much faster they were. Trouble was the pipe provided nothing, it was all in the clutch kit, but many bought the pipes thinking they were getting something.

imo, this particular mod is too risky. especially from ebay =p Not saying ebay can't sell good stuff, but the majority is junk. Best to wait for someone to develop/test a set of underdrive pulleys for our camaros specifically
