Sheared the OEM air box stud...

I have an Cold air inductions CAI installed, and was going to use the free oem air box stud to mount my catch can. In the process of installation i sheared the poor little bolt. Plan was to drill out and install a shorter, stainless bolt.
Not sure if there was an easier way to get the stud out.
This a bad idea or will I be fine?

Thanks,

Evan.
