Sunroof Sunshade Defect? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Did a search and was not able to find anything...

I found that I have a scratch in the sunroof sunshade headliner. Looks like when the sunroof opens there might be a sharp object that catches and almost "tears" the sunshade. Has anyone else had this problem? Hopefully the dealer wont try to say I scratched it and will take care of it for me. Ill try to post pics of the scratch/tear when I get home from work tomorow.

Probably just this one instance, I haven't heard anything about it. I don't see why your dealer wouldn't cover it though, and if he doesn't I would just go to another dealer.

Since I could not find anything on searches, I figured I was just unlucky enough to have sometime sharp stuck in there....

it happens.

Tomorrow I will call and make an appt. Do they usually cover a loaner/rental car? I have other vehicles to drive... just wondering. Once I deal with them I will post back up to let everyone know the outcome.

So Finally got a chance to take it in, they are ordering me a new sunshade, but so far were unable to find anything sharp sticking up.
