PDI Wash

If you let the dealer wash your car when it came in did anybody here watch to see if they hand washed or used that push broom looking thing, which I would no way in hell want that thing used on my car, that's why it's better to tell the dealer to leave it alone except for checking the vital fluids and other mechanicals at the most even though I would check all that myself.

Will dealers even let you accept delivery of the car without washing it?... I know I wouldn't want that brush to hit the car either. Think of all the crud that wash mits even retain from one car to another... It's probably not too big a deal too many instances though; I'd hope.

Sadly the wifes Sky got scratched during the initial wash at the dealer and we didn't notice till I washed it the first time and saw the scratches in the light when it was wet. I took it back and instead of polishing it out they added more scratches. I stopped the guy and left with the car. I did my own polishing of it and its a lot better but I know where they are and they jump out at me. I'm going no wash so I can only blame myself if it happens

True, but it's not your car until the name is transfered. They will wash it when it comes in.

When I had my 02SS which was a 35th Annv. bright red I told the service adv. never ever wash my car it is hand washed and waxed, when I got the car is the only time the dealer cleaned it,and that was only because I didn't think about saying anything the car came in off the truck and I got called to come and see it and I bought it right there and said put it away and lock it up and I'll be back later to take it home so they removed the plastic and washed it,but I won't let that happen again.

Well you gotta know who your working with,I'm sure that someone thinks that they're doing you a favor and maybe the dealer doesn't want anyone seeing a dirty car leaving his dealership but in the end it should be your call,I think I've seen some people getting their cars with plastic on and no wash,I can't see why anyone wouldn't honor your request for something like that, this is not an ordinary car people are buying right now.

i told my dealership that the only people to touch the car once it gets to the dealership should be, the person unloading it, then me.

No badging, No washing, no removal of anything inside th car. If they do.. there will be H*LL to pay.

They got it all in writing as well lol

To each his own? I'm taking mine to the automated wash. Not the gas station wash but a local chain here in town where I've seen Aston Martin's, Bentley's and such run thru. C'mon guys, it's a Chevy.

Good luck. Someone has to put fluids in it and make sure everything is in order. Not to mention test drive it. Hope it works out for you.

Like you said to each his own,If that is what works for you great, but the c'mon guys it's a chevy it's like your saying the car is not special which to many the car is and taking care of the paint is important when it comes to personal pride or if you decide to sell it in the future

there is a similar auto-wash in West Des Moines here that I like, does a REALLY good job (all touchless too). But I'll hand wash and wax it at least once a month too.

to each his own, but they are going to probably wash it. I would just take a look good look at it before buying. But at the same time its a chevy not a bentley
