would you still have a V8 if......

gas prices were $3.1 a litre / $13.95 gallon

Im from the Uk and trying to weigh up wether the V8 is worth the huge amounts its going to cost me in gas

Im not sure exactly how much u guys pay but i know its less than us

i do quite alot of miles per week ( about 400 ) so the only thing thats going to hold me back from the V8 is the cost of fuel, which is likely to go up!

yep , we are currently paying 100.9 pence per litre, which is about $3.1.

roughly 4.5 litres to a gallon = $13.95 :(

Well my Saab doesn't drink a whole lot less then the SS and I put 98 in it as well so the difference gaswise will not be huge.

I would have it but buy a bicycle instead since I couldn't afford to drive it long distances.. Furthermore the US economy would tank into a recession far greater than it is.. It is unlikely that will occur anytime soon since the other countries need us to buy oil from them at the moment...

Yes, Yes i would. Because over there... this car would get nearly 30MPG the gas has a bit more punch in the UK.

I don't think I would buy anything other than a bicycle if gas was that much!

Yeah, people freak out about gas prices in the 'States, but in Europe it's much worse.

Everyone quotes the highway mileage like it's an economy car but the city mileage is pretty dismal. If you live in the country it may not be that bad gas wise though.
