Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ All-season tires
Hey, Folks.
My recently aqcuired Z/28 with 3,200 miles still has the original Trofeos on. I was planning on keeping them on for the summer, but there is clearly some dry-rot cracking around the outside perimeter, so I'm not taking any chance on a catastrophe. I don't track the car at all. It's not a daily driver, but I will drive it frequently enough just for fun. I'd like an all-season tire I can put on and not worry about cold temps and rain. Michelin now has this Pilot sport A/S 3+ All-season tire. I've always had good luck with Michelins. My question is this... Can I run 325s all around with this tire? For some reason, they don't offer a 305/30/19, only the 325/30/19. I've read many threads on this topic. Most all say 325s are fine on the rear, but opinions seem to vary on the front. I understand all 325s are not equal in width, depending on the manufacturer. Has anyone else tried these all-season Michelins? I'd really like the same tire all around. I suppose I could put 305 Pilot Sport 4 S on the fronts. What say you guys? Geno

Looks like now they're up to Pilot Sport AS 4. Updated version of the AS 3+. The same question applies.

I run the Michelin PS 4s on my Z and they are fantastic BUT as stated they are a "summer" tire. I don't drive on them in temps below 40 degrees.

I just put 325/30/19 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2’s on all four corners a few weeks ago and I can say that I have not had any issues at all and I am using the factory specs as far as the caster/camber alignment. I haven’t done any super aggressive driving yet (track days / AutoX )…but have thrown it around the local back roads a little bit. I have not had any clearance issues at all. You can look up the tire specs on Michelin’s page and see if they are the same dimensions or close. Prior the car had the Hankook V12’s 305’s on all four and I really liked those tires. I just swapped for up coming events.

That's why I'm looking at the AS version. I'll need to be able to drive in some low temps. Never snow, though. That's what my Wrangler is for.

I think I found your cup 2s info. It also says 13", so I think I'm probably good to go. Are you also using the stock Z/28 wheels? They're 11" wide up front and 11.5 in back, correct? Thanks.

A heads up the look of the 325 are pretty aggressive in the front, make sure you have the flares to detour rock chips up the side.

Thank you! What's the difference between tread width and section width?
What did you do for flares?

Section with would be the widest part of the tire ( sidewall to sidewall ) and then the tread would be obviously the widest of the tread. This is when mounted on a certain certain size/width rim. As for flares I bought the longer ones from ZL1Addons. Do a search for rock guards on here that’s where I found out lol.
