Installed lowering springs months ago - all the sudden I hear 'popping' sounds...??

I installed new 1” lowering springs and front & back sway bars on my 2011 SS 2 months ago.
It had been driving perfectly fine up until now, no unusual noises or rough riding. Then out of now where I heard a ‘pop’ sound after at normal driving conditions, then I heard a few more the next day and now I hear pops and clicks all the time just driving on normal roads at slow speeds…

It’s hard to pinpoint exactly where its coming from, but sounds like the front and rear axle area.
I took it back to the shop where I had it aligned after springs were installed and they couldn’t find anything loose or wrong with it…

I guess my next stop is taking it to the dealership where I anticipate them giving me grief about it being something to do with the springs – I’m just confused at why all the sudden, without suffering any trauma, would they start causing problems…
So, just curious if anyone else on here has had a similar experience…?

This is a known experience with Pfadt springs, which I have. The Pfadt springs have a plastic, or vinyl sleeve on the springs. The issue has been with the front springs. If the sleeve slips low enough, then you encounter the springs binding, metal on metal. Thus, you have a popping or clunking sound. If you take the front wheels off, you may see where the metal on metal contact is happening. Slide the sleeve up over that area and you should be good to go. Hopefully this is your issue, because the sleeve being out of place is no big deal. Sounds scary though, I know.

Good luck!

Thanks for the insight - I wonder if something similar has happened to my Hotchkis springs...

The charger I drive does that.. I thought it was brake calipers since it felt like the engaging and disengaging. Not so much...
If I figure it out before you I'll let you know

Same thing happens with my BMR springs. It's just from the metal on metal contact

Glad I didn't get lowering springs. That doesn't sound very good.

Nice catch though. I'm getting a chirping noise from mine lately that has been bothering me. I'll give some of these remidies a try too. Pfadt 1.25 here as well. Looks far outweigh the small nuissances though.

My sway bar nuts came loose twice. Once I put Loc Tight blue on it the problem went away permanently.
