A/C problem? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Today while driving my car (has 1000 miles) I went to turn on the a/c and
as I turned the dial and tried pressing other buttons a/c on a/c off nothing was happening. The a/c status on the radio just said off. After pushing the defrost button the fan finally started to blow. I then pressed the a/c button (one to direct air out of the vents) and it started working. I could not get it to repeat the problem. Has anyone else had any issues?

It seems to be a common issue with the MyLink system. Others have noted it in the audio section. How's the car treating you otherwise?

This is the first problem that has occurred so far. Other than this the car has been great. Def turned out to be a great decision. How about you?

What did you do just write it off till next time. No sense in bringing it in there just going to say I don't see anything wrong.

Car has been great! I am without it for this week while it is back at the dealer getting the repairs done from shipment but it was a blast driving it up there Saturday!

Also, there is no fix for the A/C issue right now with MyLink so no point in going to the dealer. Our cars are brand new so they also have the latest software version in MyLink.

That's what I thought which is why I did not bring it in. Hope your repairs come out good. Have you started any mods yet?

Mods are sitting at my buddy's shop. Should be starting in January when the new cold air intake comes out.

I am just wondering, is it possible that your fan was in the off position?

Im lucky to figure out how to turn the seat heaters on. So alot of times im not sure if im even doing something on the system right or not. It eventually came on.

The fan was definitely in the ON position I was trying everything. Nothing would work. When I switched it to defrost it came on

not sure what it was. Fan was on the display on radio said off. Who knows hopefully not a problem that will keep appearing will update if it happens again.
