Stock Convertible in SCCA Solo Event
Can I race my 2011 convertible in a SCCA solo autocross event? Mods are minimal, (CAI and mufflers) so I think I would be running in Stock or Street Touring category. I've tried to read the rules but they seem to go in loops for convertibles in these categories. I was hoping someone on here could help.
I raced in the Camaro5Fest 2013 autocross event, were these SCCA events?

I would be really surprised if you couldn't run. Rag top Corvettes run. As far as class, who cares? Pick a class if you preregister. When you check in/tech, tell them your mods. They'll put you in a class. You're doing it for fun, I wouldn't get hung up on classes, they change (slightly) year to year anyway.

Yes. Don't forget the miata is probably the most popular at events. Lot's of convertibles. You should race in stock class for the first time. After some practice I would move to ST just to have more competition.

Ha, didn't think about the Miata being a 'vert.
Thanks

I though Miata first as I used to run a Neon and it was 1 class up, but I swung by a Corvette Club Autox earlier this year. Lots of 'vettes, from '69 to present. Fastest car was a 'vert, modded nicely, on Hoosiers.
