Well sunuvabeech....it's baa..aack! Dammit

The dreaded pinched paint on the rear bumper cover.

We didn't even have the car a year the first time this happened when I had to take the car in for warranty repair (4/19/10). They had the bulletin to replace a "bolt kit" and knew the entire rear bumper needed to be refinished, not just a touch up job. They knew all that and subbed it out to a reputable paint shop down the road from the dealer. Looked great after getting it back.

I was washing the wife's CTS wagon when she came out and walked by the yellow car and said did you know the paint is peeling again on the bumper? WTF?

Sure enough, same spot. Now on BOTH sides. Grrrr..

So they kick the can down the road for 4 more years essentially. Car lives in the garage. Doesn't get abused. Paint falls off. FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU.......!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm thinking of not doing anything to it an just peeling back the scars and filling it in with paint and saying fugg it. And let it be a conversation piece about the 2010 POS paint used on the Camaros that year.

Or, I might just convert over to the ZL1 rear bumper. Have to think about it. Either way, I'm not going to get the same rear bumper painted again. Apparently it doesn't want to hold on to any paint. Piece of crap. Arrrgh. I'm just a bit peeved right now.

April 18, 2010 and the new pic today, Sep 16, 2014.

Man I'd be beside myself. Dang it with GM products; If the workmanship problems don't kill you then the service will.

Pretty sure mine will eventually do this also. The joint right there where the two panels join together is so tight, and also rubs like that on mine. I questioned it since the day I got my car, but I just thought that it was how it was supposed to be. It's like a forced fit..
