Its a personal choice..if you want them ..get them. For every question people post..many people will comment with their own personal preferences . Their choice isn't your choice...I like them. That's just me.

my personal preference is the keyed pins that lock, I haven't installed any, but thought about it, too... I don't think I'd go with the pins and safety wires, as I think the safety cables would definitely scratch up the fascia.

mainly the looks for me... for the locking pins, an added bit of security if you have a lot of pricey mods under the hood...

Aero catch and don't look back. Don't waste your time with the old school pins unless you want that look. IMO this latch goes well with the newer car body styles.
