Memorial Weekend..... Let's remember
Please don't try to thank a veteran this Memorial weekend or try to shake their hands. Instead take a minute from your backyard BBQ and have a moment of silence for all of those soldiers, past and present, that died to secure the future of your family.
It's been 10 years since I last saw my friend SFC. Randy Collins. This man died in a mortar attack on a base in Mosul Iraq blocking the entrance to the concrete bunker. He saved several lives that day whom where all able to go back home to their loved ones. He survived by his wife and three kids in California. A father, a friend and the best soldier I have ever had the honor of knowing. If he would have survived he would have retired 6 years ago. You will never be forgotten.

Thanks for posting this. I was USMC for 6 years and have a few fine Marines to celebrate tomorrow. All gave some, some gave all.

SEMPER FI , I had some Marine friends when I was in the Army. We all wear a different uniform but fight for the same cause. If you have someone you want to remember, post it and tell us a little about that person/s.

Too many friends killed, but Dwayne Kelley was Kia by a bicycle ied in Iraq.. NJ state trooper rip .. Performing as civil affairs officer, one other rip csm Keith laborde non battle heart attack.. I loved that leader and great man..miss all of em..

I hated those IED's. I personally find them to be a chicken s#!t tactic and I have experienced my fair share of them.

Staff sergeant Brian McElroy.
Son of a coworker and early casualty. Have been wearing wrist band in his memory since he came home to be buried. Thanks for his service and everyone still protecting us to have the great life we have in the USA. Ian B |
