Menu button on steering column
Having a weird problem and Google is no help. The "menu" button that's on the turn signal level stopped working. Not the one you twist, but the one you press (like to get to where you can reset the oil life calculator, check tire pressure, etc). When I press the button, nothing happens at all when it used to go to the secondary menu with everything I mentioned previously. Has anyone else ran into this issue?

on the end of the turn signal? or the side of it? either way, might need to be replaced

Well, it was user error. Embarrassed to even say it, but I completely forgot that to access that menu, the car as to be stationary/not moving. I was trying to get to it while moving, so it wouldn't work. Durr.

Weird. Mine will only let me get to if it's not moving. Maybe it's because you have a 2012 and I have a 2010. Could be some programming changes that allow it later years.

My menus on the 2010 SS can be accessed while driving. Ditto on wife's 2014 truck.
In a 2016 GM car I recently bought, the vehicle status menu, that is, oil life and tire pressure, is locked out while moving. Is this a safety feature, I wonder? |
