Old thread but I don't want to make a new one. I'm not really looking to be the loudest retard on the road but I've considered cutouts also for performance reasons and a better sound.

I've seen tons of vids on camaro V6 cutouts but they all seem to be LLT.

This one in particular caught my attention...right around the 1:02 mark:

**** that's loud. I may just go with a single cut out, just before the H pipe. For 60 bucks and a quick cut and weld it's not bad.

If you're going before the H pipe, and you still have the cats, you should be ok. This was shot in Australia I think. It sounds like they have no cats or anything.

Once I get around to getting one of these and installing it I'll post a vid. The true sound of the almighty LFX will be heard. Fuq the nay sayers and their sheepish nature.

10 is a different motor. Same short block maybe, but the top changes so much.

Sounds exactly like my co-workers SS. Cops pulled him over and made him get mufflers... But his was straight piped.

I've also been listening to what other V6's sound like cutout. Seems do just give them more chorus and bass. Not trying to sound like an 8. But I don't like how muffled the LFX sounds stock.

After further inspection, I realized this may not be the best idea. For one, the stock exhaust doesn't reall have a place to mount these cutouts I unless you do a custom weld. Also the little electric motors that per the butterfly are prone to failure, let alone getting wet etc...

Not worth the money. I'd rather get a race muffler and X pipe resonator delete, not only is it cheaper, it's also something I can do in just a few hours.
