Replaced seats - service airbag light
Well, I put on some zl1 seat covers on my 1SS this weekend. Midway I had to move the car with the passenger seat removed and the airbag light came on.
I figured it would just turn off after I re-installed everything but no such luck. Does anyone know how to reset the light or airbag system? Thanks |

If the seats are fully installed and plugged in now, one ignition cycle should turn light off. If not you could try a global reset. If that doesn't rectify it you left something unplugged

By global reset do you mean disconnecting the battery for an hour?

Disconnect positive and Negative cable. Put both cables together for 5 minutes so all modules power down, reset.

Ok, I went back in this morning and the passenger connector, under the seat, didn't have the locking clip installed.
Re-installed the connector plug and all is good - light went out on its own within 10 seconds. Seems to me now, that disconnecting the battery or reset will not solve any Airbag light issue since the system self tests and controls the light. Thanks for the input :thumb up: |
