what do we know

I'm starting this thread in the hopes to bring together all the information we can in one spot about the 3.6L beauty within the 2010 Camaro. I think that if we can get everyone to put down what you know and not what you heard as well as our desires for real performance power parts we will get better attention from manufactures to produce for the demand.

I have the 2LT model.

How long has this engine been in use?
What is it really capable of in top speed and torque?
What can this engine be bored out to?
What does anyone know about Cams, lifters, rockers, pistons, rods, and so forth for this engine?
If DI is so great, why is no one seriously taking advantage of this platform?

Anyone else got answers? More questions?

Ferrari is using DI on the new 458, the 430's replacement. Now how does 562hp @ 9000rpm sound, no turbo, no blower, all motor.

Yeah, there have been quite a few very similar threads. The answers you seek are in this forum but you need to look for them. There is no way to organize all the answers you're looking for in one thread and frankly nobody who has your answers is likely to re-post them in your thread when there is already a dedicated thread for each specific issue.

Really, because I've read your response and you don't sound confused. Didn't try an answer the question but you don't sound confused.

Now, knowledge like this is very very helpful indeed. I need a special shelf for this one.

Look man. I participate on multiple forums for more than just the Camaro too. I like this one because it is just about the best for interaction on the Camaro, I also spend a good amount of time looking at threads to see what topics are being discussed. Now, I have searched for it and didn't find my question. I did however find many what is DI questions and How does DI work? Even who is doing anything with DI and the answer is only Cadillac.
What I want to know is why is no one jumping on this and to go a step further why are we just sitting around waiting for the industry to give us what we want when it's historically been so limited on what it produces for the V6 that we'll take whatever they put out. An we'll wait like little punks for them to give it to us too.
What we need to do is get everyone on this forum involved as much as possible with looking and asking questions about all the items we want. It's not enough to put that stuff down here in a thread or two so one maybe two manufacturers can look through it to see if there is a profit to be made. We need to also send messages to all the manufacturers whe want stuff from, like emails, phone calls, hell personal hand written letters. Because if we don't the Camaro V6 is going to get just the handful of items we've seen so far just like it always has and your car as well as mine will never reach it full potential.
